Knoxville Wedding Photography (as an assistant) :)

I love photographing weddings. Having the chance to share nearly every minute of a couple’s most important day of their lives is nothing short of an amazing experience. I don’t aggressively promote myself as a wedding photographer due to the fact that I normally can’t ever make my crazy schedule work, but my buddy Reed Carringer has been shooting quite a few lately and I normally come along as the “second shooter”.

Second shooting is awesome…I just sort of lay back, make sure Reed is not missing anything important, shoot whatever the heck I want to, carry some lights around, etc. And I still get to share this super important cool day with the couple.:)

Last Saturday was a bit different as Reed was working as a second shooter for Lindsey Kant (another awesome photographer) at Sarah and Nathan’s wedding at the Twin Cedar Farm in Rockford, TN. Sarah was a gorgeous bride, the groomsmen were crazy, and a venue that is just to die for…it all sounded cool enough for me to ask to tag along. As the fourth shooter.  And it was a blast!!!

  • Jeff Jacoby - Randy…great stuff! Might have to join you guys sometime. After I get out of this crazy business…I have thought about shooting some weddings and other stuff to supplement my retirement. Always fun to hang out with great guys and talented photographers like you and Reed! Plus, not bad value for Bride and Groom…heck if you get one good shot…its FREE! :) Only 17 weeks til the home opener at Neyland! Can’t wait!

Did you see the stuff I did with Mallory and Courtney with caps and gowns and then with Faymie and Andrea the following week? Would love feedback and suggestions! All were VERY pleased. All shots were done with an on-camera flash…trying to keep these free jobs simple! (Plus, I don’t even own an off camera flash!)

Hope you guys are great! Talk to you soon!
