As a lot of you may know, I’m a big fan of UT’s Photography Certificate Program, so here’s what I’ve been doing with the program. Here is a complete list of courses.

I’m really excited about the class I’m taking this spring, Adam Brimer’s Introduction to Photojournalism class. Adam is a staff photographer with the Knoxville News Sentinel and this should be a very interesting class.

Last week I spoke at Tom Geisler’s Fundamentals II class and today I tagged along on his Fundamentals I class on their downtown field trip. I always come away from these a little energized, it does one good to be around people so eager to learn. I got a few good images on the trip, but I wanted to share this Flip Video I put together…enjoy!

Anderson County High School Football

Just returned from the Anderson County High School Football Banquet (had a GREAT time!) and just wanted to post a link to all of the images from last year, I’ll add some more info here later tonight. Here’s the link, Anderson County Football Images on MaxPreps

Images from the Banquet are now online at AC Football Banquet. I tried to capture everyone getting an award, enjoy!

Oh yeah, here is the plaque that was awarded to the players. I’m very happy to have provided the images for it! (and plaques are hard to photograph!)

Knoxville Baby Contest Update

We’ve had a rash of rescheduling today due to some sick babies and have several appointments open this week. Hello There! I’m really excited about this offer and hope you will be too! I’m looking to expand my baby photography business and I would like to have some more sample images to use in my marketing, so here’s the deal…

You bring your baby (age 12 months or less) into our studio in West Knoxville (clean, warm, and baby friendly) and we will have a one to two hour stress free photo session with him/her at absolutely NO COST to you.
A week or so after the session you will return to the studio for a viewing session where I will show you between 20 and 50 fully edited images from the session. You pick out your favorite and you will receive a FREE 8 X 10 print! You DO NOT have to purchase a single thing at the viewing, the 8 X 10 is absolutely free. OpLove Homecoming in Knoxville

Yesterday we were able to cover the big homecoming for the unit we’ve been covering through OpLove the past year. I was very happy to be a part of this, and I owe a big thanks to Julie Poole for coming out to help cover it. And Selena did a great job with the video, so THANKS Julie and Selena!!! And even more importantly, we owe a HUGE thanks to the Soldiers, we really appreciate what you have been doing for us!

Blog and Website Change

Well, guess you may have noticed a few changes here I needed a more “static” main web page, hence the flash website at www.randysartin.com

This will allow me to “clean up” this blog a little bit, and I’ll be updating here on a regular basis. And yes, I know the blog is whacked out right now but I promise to fix it tomorrow!

Marshall County 2009 Hoopfest Pictures (Findlay Prep vs Christ School)

The 2009 Marshall County Hoopfest was absolutely fantastic! I’m just now getting around to editing and uploading all of the images, one gallery is already published with MaxPreps and is available at Findlay Prep vs Christ School Gallery. I’ll just keep updating this post as stuff becomes available, here are a few of my favorites from #1 Findlays’ game with #17 Christ School.

Oak Hill vs Jackson Callaway is now up, the easiest thing to do is to go to Randy’s MaxPrep’s Gallery, as the galleries get published they will be available there.
